About Mongil Codex
A specialist site for Mongil: Star Dive — every page hand-written and re-tested in-game each patch by Trakan & Irissia. Not a scraped aggregator dump. A codex written by people who actually play the game.

Who runs Mongil Codex
Trakan — Lead developer, builds + meta
I love making tools — most of them centred on community, because I love seeing people interact. 10+ years of gacha experience, the best and the worst of it; my favourites are Endfield and the late Alchemy Stars.
Irissia — Editorial, in-game testing
Content creator, 10+ years deep in gacha, and somehow absurdly lucky on every banner. I'm the voice of the site — the editorial and in-game testing pass — and lately I've started picking up some of the dev work too. If Mongil Codex has a second pillar, it's this seat.
We don't have a third writer or a content team. Every page on this site is one of us, by name, on the date stamped at the bottom. If a page lies about an in-game number, you can tell us directly on the Discord and we'll fix it within the patch.
How we work
- Every character / boss / artifact / recipe page is verified in-game before publication. We don't copy patch notes, we run the content.
- Each page carries a visible “Last reviewed by [name] — [date] · Patch [X]” byline. That date is the last time one of us literally opened the game and re-tested the claims on that page.
- We re-test after every patch. If a page hasn't been touched in 60+ days, it surfaces a yellow “Pending re-test” badge until we've verified it against the current version.
- Tier ranks include written rationale. No site-wide “our tier list” tab with letters and no explanation — every rank links to the methodology that produced it.
- We disclose meta volatility. If a character drops a tier on a patch buffing their counter element, the page says so.
How we differ from Game8 / Fandom
Game8 and Fandom run on volume — many writers, many games, content at scale. That model collapsed in the March 2026 Google core update because the authorship signal was too thin: anonymous edits, template-driven pages, no visible verification trail.
Mongil Codex covers one game. The two of us write every page, sign every page, and re-test every page each patch. That's the entire differentiator. We don't have a faster team or more pages; we have a higher per-page bar.
If we can't verify a claim in-game, the page doesn't ship until we can. Game8's character pages average ~1000 words; ours start there and add the artifact / counter / team-comp cross-link graph that Game8's template doesn't. Read both and decide which one feels like it was written by someone who plays Mongil.

On-site contributions:
- Builds — share your own gear / substat priorities for any character. We approve quality submissions and attribute them to your handle.
- Character teams — public team comps with notes on what they clear.
- Map routes — your own exploration routes for the interactive map.
- Speedruns — boss + dungeon time submissions with verifiable proof.
Transparency
- No paid placement. Tier ranks, build picks, and character recommendations are not influenced by sponsorships, partnerships, or codes received from the developer.
- Affiliate disclosure. We have no affiliate links on the site. Outbound links are direct references, never monetized.
- Beta access / press codes. We have not received beta access, press codes, or any other privileged access from the Mongil: Star Dive developer. Every page is written from a live retail account.
- Data sources. Game data is extracted from the client per patch. Strategy / tier / build content is original and generated from in-game testing — never scraped or rewritten from another site.
- Errors.Tell us on Discord. We fix within the patch and timestamp the correction in the page's next “Last reviewed by” line.
